1950 Pocket Prayer Book & Devotional Guide, The Upper Room, Nashville Tennessee, Complied by Ralph Spaulding Cushman, General Board of Evangelism, United Methodist Churches. Information from Jo Ann White, 12-30-2022 @ 9:57 PM CST USA in Adairville Kentucky as she sat in her living room rocking recliner, “The precious little prayer book was given to me as a gift, by my Methodist Sunday school teacher “Mrs. Thomas Flowers” when I was 12 years old. She became a volunteer at the Logan Memorial Hospital, in her latter years. She may have given them to all of us in her class, at the Adairville Methodist Church. Mrs. Flowers passed away from a stroke, she had been gone a while when they found her, she lived out in the country by herself. She was a medium build woman with medium brown hair, a very pleasant person. The inscription in the book reads Mrs. Thos. Flowers, for Thomas, this was back when women were proud and happy to use their husbands first names, as did Mrs. Sam White many times through the years.” Marc William White worked as an Information Technology Consultant at The General Board of Discipleship for the United Methodist Church National Headquarters in downtown Nashville Tennessee, at The Upper Room, in the late 1990s, he was building servers, installing desktops, and assisting team members, there with Integrated Technology Solutions, the firm he worked for when he became a Microsoft Certified Professional in NT Server 4.0.
